Fiuni was established in 2003 by founder and principal Jan Aase Architecht NAL.
Following the philosophy of "Cradle to Cradle", established by architects from the international community. The name plays on the phrase "from cradle to grave", where the grave is turned into a new birth. Instead of letting material from dereliqued houses go to the dogs, Fiuni has set its sights on the re-use of existing materials in new constructions, and in doing so prolongs the life cycle of architecture.
Fiuni’s study program is designed in accordance with the EU architectural directive and framework plan for Master of Architecture. During the exam, we use external examiners from the School of Architecture in Oslo (AHO) and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
-“Our study offer seems to be internationally leading in energy use in architecture. The education program focuses on ecological footprints, energy use and innovative solutions for reuse of architecture”, says Principal and founder Jan Aase.
